many tests failing on develop branch

There are a lot of tests failing on the develop branch currently.

How should we proceed with existing issues/PRs in this situation?

This PR by @DMills27 is aiming to fix them. We are working on making the code base even more modular and have a much more professional UI/UX. A PR related to this was merged causing the errors.
